本课程旨在为已经在工作或希望进入社区和社会服务环境的人们提供有效执行其在社区发展,残疾服务,高级服务和治疗服务中的工作所需的技能和知识。
对于希望从该课程提供的12个能力模块中的任何一个获得技能和知识的专业人士而言,它也是合适的。将为成功完成的每个模块提供称为合格声明的AWSQ证书。

This course aims to provide people already working or wishing to enter the Community and Social Services environment with the skills and knowledge required to effectively execute their job duties in Community Development, Disability Services, Senior Services, and Therapy Services.
It is also appropriate for any professional who wishes to acquire skills and knowledge from any of the 12 competency modules offered in the course. AWSQ certificate, known as Statement of Attainment, will be provided for each module successfully completed.
Upon completion of this 3-month full time or 11 months part-time course, graduates are fully certified. They can immediately start work as a therapy aide in various healthcare settings.

Note:
- A minimum number of 15 students for the commencement of the course.
- Students will be informed in advance before the start of the course.
ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY
Practical Assessments and/or Summative Assessments
Note:- In case students fail the main examination of a particular module,
they are allowed to sit for ‘One’ supplement assessment with payment of
the appropriate fee*. Students are to re-take the module, shall they fail the supplementary assessment. Modules are independent of each other.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Students must complete and pass all 12 modules to be awarded
the Certificate in Therapy Services and conferred by the CSM
Academy International Pte Ltd.
Local students must achieve an attendance of 7 5% and international
students must complete the presence of 90% in any month of the
course to enjoy the subsidies.
Note: – 12 Statements of Attainment (SOA) for each competency unit will
be awarded by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA).

Assist in the Provision of a Safe, Hygienic and Supportive
Environment
This unit focuses on providing a safe and hygienic work environment by Health Attendants or Therapy Aides. And assist Allied Health Professionals or Therapy Assistants while giving treatments, interventions and other services to the patients.
Follow Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Procedures
This unit covers workplace safety, health policies and procedures. It also
equips Health Attendants and Therapy Aides with the skills required of how to prevent infections and work overload, to handle injuries and work safely.
Assist the Therapist in the Provision of Therapy Services and
Programmes to Meet Special Needs of Clients
This unit focuses on providing specialist support by Health Attendants or Therapy Aides to Allied Health Professionals or Therapy Assistants. While providing treatments, interventions and other services to people with special needs.
Supporting Clients in their Activities of Daily Living and Leisure
This unit equips Programme Assistants, Senior Home Helpers and Social Work Assistants with the knowledge and skills required to support the elderly to be able to task their daily activities and hobbies for leisure as independently as possible.
Support Clients to Maximize their Independence and
Physical Ability
This unit equips Health Attendants or Therapy Aides with the necessary skills in providing active support and encouraging the patients to be independent. As much as they could to maintain their physical abilities and motor skills.
Prepare and Maintain Therapy Equipment and Appliances
This unit covers the skills necessary for the preparation and maintenance of equipment and materials to assist Allied Health Professionals and Therapy Assistants while providing treatments, interventions and other services to the patients.
Assist Clients to Learn to Use Alternative and Augmentative
Communication (AAC) Systems
This unit introduces the skills necessary for Healthcare Assistants and Therapy Assistants. And to be able to encourage and support the patients to use AAC systems to communicate under the guidance and instructions of Speech Therapists.
Apply Common Processes in Therapy Services
This unit focuses on providing general assistance by Health Attendants or
Therapy Aides to Allied Health Professionals and Therapists while giving
treatments, interventions and other services to patients.
Transport Senior Services Clients
This unit covers the skills required to safely transport the elderly from one place to another in the Senior Services Sector. Heath Attendants, Home Helpers, Personal Care Attendants and Therapy Aides should take up this unit.
Work within a Legal and Ethical Framework
This unit helps Health Attendants, and Therapy Aides understand the ethical and legal implications of work. And be aware of the Workplace Safety and Health Act and apply it to the Community and Social Services sector.
Assist the Therapist or Therapist Assistant to Conduct Therapy
Programmes
This unit covers how to give general assistance to Allied Healthcare
Professionals and Therapy Assistants while providing treatments, interventions and other services to the patients.
Demonstrate First Aid / Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
On completion of this unit, the learner will have knowledge and application skills in demonstrating first aid/CPR skills and be able to apply them to the workplace.

Upon completion of this 3-month full-time or 11-month part-time
