National workshop to launch the Global Monitoring Report

The conference organized by UNESCO Beijing Office and Central Institute for Vocational and Technical Education (CIVTE) of Ministry of Education will gather participants from East Asia, selected ASEAN Countries, 180 National TVET Institutions in China, local & regional and national government representatives, participants from private sector, and representatives from Chinese modern apprenticeship programmes.
The sub-regional conference in TVET for East Asian Countries (South Korea, China, DPRK and Mongolia and Japan) is a response to the recently adopted 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and in particular the SDG 4 related to education and the specific target concerning technical and vocational education and training (TVET). The major aim of the conference is to assess the alignment and gaps in present national TVET policies and strategies that enable or prevent response to Education 2030 for Sustainable Development agenda. The sub-regional conference will identify strategies to strengthen the UNEVOC network within the region.
The International conference in TVET for East Asian Countries is a response to the recently adopted 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and in particular the SDG 4 related to education and the specific target concerning technical and vocational education and training (TVET). Some of the UNEVOC Centres from South–East Asian Countries will be invited to share best practices in TVET. The UNEVOC Centres in the sub-region are actively participating in the UNEVOC Global Network and have played a significant role in promoting TVET at country level.
