Professor Kilbride has worked in a variety of settings with extensive research in care of the elderly and Neuro onclology. Neuro oncology was her specialist area as a clinical nurse and she completed her PhD in this area in 2006. She contributed significantly to the research and teaching activity of the SNMSC teaching and supervising students at undergraduate and post graduate PhD level.

In her role as Centre Director at the Glasgow Caledonian University, she managed the international and commercial activity of the Centre of Wellbeing and Healthcare. Professor Kilbride has extensive international experiences, having managed and lead a number of collaborative contracts in the areas of nursing and clinical research with partners globally. Professor Lynn Kilbride sits on the Academic Board and Examination Board of CSM Academy International to advise on the healthcare programme quality and its future programme content developments.
